Dense fog and cold wave grip parts of the country

Dense fog continues to blanket Bangladesh, and six areas are under a cold wave. The capital remains covered in fog, intensifying the chill. According to the Meteorological Department, the fog is unlikely to lift today.

Fog has been present since December 31, reducing temperatures and increasing the winter’s severity. Yesterday, some areas in the north saw visibility drop so low that vehicles used headlights during the day. The capital didn’t see sunlight at all.

Meteorologist Md. Hafizur Rahman mentioned this morning that the fog would likely persist throughout the day. However, temperatures may slightly rise from Saturday.
